Equity & Diversity at All Cycle Bath & West
At All Cycle Bath & West, we believe that cycling should be for everyone. Our charity exists to create a welcoming, accessible, and joyful space where people of all abilities, backgrounds, and identities can experience the freedom and wellbeing that cycling brings.
We are based at Odd Down Sports Ground and at our Radstock hub but our community reaches far beyond it. Every person who joins us—riders, carers, families, volunteers, and visitors—deserves to be valued and respected.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
Equity – recognising that people have different needs and removing barriers so everyone can take part.
Diversity – celebrating the wide range of experiences, identities, and perspectives within our community.
Inclusion – creating a safe, friendly environment where everyone feels they belong.
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind.
Who We Welcome
All Cycle Bath & West welcomes people of all:
Ages
Disabilities and long‑term health conditions
Races, ethnicities, and nationalities
Genders and gender identities
Sexual orientations
Religions and beliefs
Backgrounds, life experiences, and communication needs
We also recognise that some people face additional barriers linked to social isolation, mental health, caring responsibilities, or financial challenges. We work proactively to support inclusion in these areas too.
How We Support Inclusion
To make our sessions accessible and enjoyable, we:
Provide a wide range of adaptive cycles and equipment
Offer person‑centred support from trained volunteers
Use clear, friendly, and accessible communication
Create a calm, respectful environment
Adapt activities wherever possible to meet individual needs
Listen to feedback and continually improve our practice
Our aim is simple: everyone who wants to cycle should have the opportunity to do so in a way that feels safe, supported, and fun.
